  • Must reside in Georgia. Must have no history of malpractice. Preferred minimum 5 years post-residency experience. Must be able to supervise minimum 6 APPs. Board certification in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Emergency Medicine required (any one).

About This Role

OpenLoop is looking for a collaborating Physician for our internal group of Nurse Practitioners. If you enjoy collaborating and mentoring Advanced Practice Practitioners, this position is perfect!
About the Position
The Physician will collaborate mostly asynchronously with their assigned advanced practice clinicians to conduct patient chart audits per applicable regulations, delegate prescriptive authority, etc. They will need to fulfill any federal/state-specific requirements as a collaborator. The role requires confidence in clinical decision-making while adhering to evidence-based clinical guidelines.
As a contracted provider, hours are incredibly flexible. We are a seven days-a-week operation offering providers the flexibility to set their own recurring schedules.
Responsibilities
  • Collaborate as necessary with Nurse Practitioners
  • Perform chart audits and related functions in compliance with regulations and guidelines
  • Be comfortable working remotely in a virtual team setting
  • Supervise at least four (4) Nurse Practitioners
Requirements
  • Must possess active, non-restrictive medical licensure in multiple states
  • Georgia Medical License required
  • Must reside in the state of Georgia
  • Board-certified physician (MD or DO) from a US-accredited medical school
  • Board-certified in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Emergency Medicine
  • Minimum TWO years experience as a practicing physician
  • Must have a current DEA
  • Must have no history of malpractice
  • Preferred minimum one (1) year of collaborative experience with APPs
  • Minimum five (5) years of post-residency practice experience
  • Must be able to supervise a minimum of six (6) advanced practice practitioners
